Traffix is Hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist (Canada; USA) Near Canada, KY

POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Payroll Specialist will be reporting to the Director of People Ops and Payroll. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of US and Canada payroll. The candidate will work closely with HR to assist with HR-related functions. POSITION RESPONSIBILITES 
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all hourly/salaried employees 
  • Process monthly commissions and bonuses 
  • Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time & other deductions 
  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefit changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction. 
  • 401k administration (employee contributions, 401k loans, etc.) 
  • Coordinate with HR about changes in payroll (new hires, terminations, leave of absences, etc.) 
  • Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees and managers regarding payroll matters and benefits in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Payroll related tax returns, tax payments and W2 processing 
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and audits. 
  • Perform other payroll duties as assigned. 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years payroll experience
  • Knowledge of US and CAD payroll
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) an asset 
  • Strong knowledge of Federal/State laws as they pertain to payroll administration. 
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong work ethics and positive team attitude 
  • Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail 
  • Able to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
